ants in your pants

1.ants in your pants to have butterflies in one’s stomach
我们要讲的第一个俗语是ants in your pants。
1: The company financial report isn’t due until next Friday. But the boss has ants in his pants and wants us to have it all ready for him on Tuesday morning.
2: Say, what happened to the order for table seven? The guy’s been waiting for a half hour and he’s really getting ants in his pants for the cheeseburger and fries he ordered.
To have butterflies in one’s stomach。
To have butterflies in one’s stomach,
3: Sitting there at my sister’s wedding dinner, I had butterflies in my stomach because I know I’d have to stand up and make a speech.
4: Yeah, sure I had butterflies in my stomach in the locker room! But once I got out on the court and caught that first pass, I was just fine.

2.to go for broke to go overboard
首先我们要给大家介绍的一个俗语是 to go for broke。 To go for broke
1: “The biggest auto race of the year is ready to start. All the drivers are ready to go for broke and drive their cars until they fall apart.”
2: “Okay, I’m going to go for broke and bet all the money I have on my cards. I don’t see how anybody can beat what I’m looking at here in my hand.”
这在英文里就是 to go overboard。
3:”John, let’s not go overboard and get a new car right now. With all the other expenses we have, we won’t be able to make the monthly payments.”
To go overboard 也可以用在商业界。
4: “I wouldn’t go overboard and buy a lot of stock in that company right now. I hear their profit is down from what it was last year.”
以上我们讲了两个习惯用语,一个是 to go for broke。 To go for broke

Hmm..let’s begin.i was wondering if we could first talk about delivery and then move on to price?
ok.when did you say we’ll receive everything by?
probably within two months.
oh,no.that’s no good.we need that stuff by the end of the month.i was hoping to get it…is there any way we can do that?
Mmm,you know that’s a bit difficult.Company policy is at least six weeks.
yeah, but we can’t wait that long.is there another solution?
let me think.i suppose we could manage if we pushed it along at the production level.let me see.
it would be really appreciated.when could you confirm that with me?
i can confirm that this afternoon.i’ll call your office between four and five o’clock.
that’s fantastic.now.what’s next?
let’s discuss price.
